Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree

Strongly Agree
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:
2010 General Election, 2012 General Election, 2012 Republican Primary, 2014 General Election, 2014 Republican Primary, 2016 General Election, 2016 Republican Primary
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The traditional several excepted issues.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Limit specific immigration and use vetting. Aggressive identification and elimination of combatants. Outreach to mosques to try to avoid radicalization and to monitor activities.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Men are inherently ambitious and might tend to be corrupt with concentrated power.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised as a Presbyterian. I am spiritual but do not attend any specific church every week. I believe in Judeo-Christian principles, stewardship of my abilities and capabilities to help others, and the Golden Rule. I give people who need help the help I can give.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I have not been in politics before or held office so I have made no promises I have not kept. Refer to my published campaign materials, website, tweets, and posts.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Control drug costs and allow people to select plans that have what they need. Cover pre-existing conditions; cover catastrophic events with no lifetime maximum.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Lower taxes and cut regulations to make things reasonably simple and save time and costs to accomplish things.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
Transition to a sales or consumption tax. Tax spending as a "sales tax", do not tax earning. If you save you pay little tax, if you spend you pay tax on what you spend.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
More jobs, skill and craft training, better public education, incentives to work.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Those who paid into the system will get their benefits as promised---have to keep our promises.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Engineering degree, law degree (licensed in Texas but never practiced law). 40+ years of engineering, oil and gas, personnel/staffing, welding, fabrication and other businesses---hired many people and made the payroll every month for 30+ years. Not a career politician; work well with people, negotiate, can save money, and gets things done. Grew up

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Flooding is our biggest issue--I will provide funds for the District and push FEMA and the Corps of Engineers to do their jobs. We need to fix flood insurance and solve that broken system--the federal system is in huge debt. I support term limits for Congress (House of Representatives 8 years, Senate 12 years). Cut spending 1% to 3% a year and adjust where money needs to go. I am an engineer who solves problems. The 18-year incumbent is ineffective. I will do a better job for the District and for your future. Please vote in the Republican Primary to displace the incumbent. No use of sending him back to Washington for two more years. Not likely he will do any better this next term. November is too late. I will win for you and for your family.
