What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I value my integrity, care about others, want to do what is right, and when I depart from this earth to see Jesus, I want to know that I have made the world a better place for my presence in it.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have always voted Republican and have attended Bible based churches for over thirty years.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Unemployment is brought down by having a robust economy and by having social programs that do not create an unnecessary dependency

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Market forces should be used to drive down the cost of medical care.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government needs to maintain a strong currency, a tax policy which raises sufficient money to fund necessary government services while minimizing any negative impact on the economy, a consistent regulatory environment which is no more than what is needed, and a trade policy which insures fairness to American businesses. Beyond that, the government should let market forces drive the economy.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Extensive community service including, Past Chairman of Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Fredericksburg ISD, Co-founder and Past Chairman of Systems Go, Chairman of Finance Committee of Hill Country Memorial Hospital, and board positions on Hill Country University Center, San Antonio Manufacturers Association, and Crime Stoppers. Additionally, I am a Rotarian who has been honored as Rotarian of the Year, and a graduate of leadership programs in Gillespie County and the Texas Association of School Boards. I have run two successful businesses in the corporate environment and developed my own high-tech manufacturing business employing 44 people, built on the idea of creating a culture of excellence while taking care of employees and customers. My education includes a BS in Economics from Lehigh University and MBA from University of Michigan
