What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Continue to uphold the highest standards for background checks and continue to respond to the threat of radical Islamic terrorism around the globe. While controversial, our efforts in the Global War on Terror--a war in which I participated--over the past two decades have been instrumental in ensuring that we neutralize the threat of radical Islamic terrorism at the source.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born and raised Christian, and I still strive, daily, to walk with the Lord and lead by example. Christians, today, are under attack. Standing firm as a Christian does not mean I am attempting to force my religion on all Americans. What it does mean, is that I am not ashamed that my faith influences my value system. Because of my faith, I believe that life begins at conception. Because of my faith, I believe in compassion for ALL of humanity—every race, creed, religion, and even orientation. The Bible commands us to love one another. It also teaches us to leave judgment up to Him. I believe we need to stop judging and condemning each other, and put the focus on making our country work. While it is important that we don’t allow a dictatorship of religion in our country, it is also important that we stop condemning those whose value system is influenced by their faith.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Partner with healthcare firms and consumer advocacy watchdog groups to identify and cut restrictive regulation. Market-driven solutions exist, and we need to increase competition to drive down soaring prices. I would also explore price ceilings on certain plans to cap cost and incentivize firms to be more efficient.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape, incest, life of the mother
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
As a student of the Constitution--and the past 100 years of political-economic events, government can bring different packages of monetary and fiscal stability, incentive, and regulation to an economy at different points in the business cycle. Right now, we need an American dollar that makes our products and services competitive internationally. We need low and stable inflation. We need an infrastructure that will increase long-term productivity (like expanded Wi-Fi coverage).

What changes should be made to the tax code?
Why is our Tax Code longer than our Constitution? Our tax code is out of control with regard to complexity. The recent tax bill is a good start--with room for improvement. We have already seen the positive effects of lowering the corporate tax. Businesses are now investing in their employees, capital equipment, and in their communities. Additionally, we have yet to see a $2-3 Trillion homecoming of profit sitting in offshore accounts. The "next frontier," after simplicity, is entitlement reform.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Although our unemployment is the lowest in a half-century, more can be done to drive economic opportunity in rural and inner city communities. Businesses and community stakeholders can be given incentive by State and Federal governments to encourage employment of long term unemployed or those at risk of low economic productivity. My dream is to see partnerships between parents, businesses, schools, unions, and civic institutions to more adeptly train our pupils in skilled trades and prevent the outsourcing of critical skills like STEM, trade skills, or manufacturing.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Generations that have paid into Social Security for a decade or more should receive what has been promised to them by the government. But, we have a moral and fiscal responsibility to be stewards for the next generation. We must construct and enact a system (to take effect over a long-phased timeline) that privatizes and educates new working-age Americans about responsibility, savings, and investment. I envision education starting as early as middle school in a 21st Century Home Economics Class, culminating with a 12th Grade cornerstone class about their new "Lifetime Account" before they graduate.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
This is a question, in my opinion, that frequently distracts us from the intended role of a representative. Nowhere in the Constitution does it lay out specific life experiences necessary for political office. In the beginning, leaders of high moral character were lifted up by their communities to represent those communities as representatives. Many of them did not even want to do the job. They felt called to do the job, and they answered the call. That said, I received a degree in American Politics from one of the most reputable institutions of learning in this country (United States Military Academy at West Point), and I served this country in the United States Army from 2012-2017 with the 101st Airborne Division. I deployed to Iraq in 2016 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and the Global War on Terror. I have dedicated the entirety of my life to the service of this country, and I intend to continue serving my home district, my state, and the United States of America.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Somewhere along the way, we lost sight of elected office as a servant's position--as a volunteer's position. Somewhere along the way, it became about partisanship and money. Politics became a career. This was never the intent. Our representatives are supposed to be servant leaders of high moral character, committed to putting the advancement of this country above all else. Candidates are running for the wrong reasons, and they are overstaying their welcome, becoming inundated with the bureaucracy and corruption of Washington, D.C. In the 1970s, over 70% of our elected leaders served this country in the military. That number is now below 20%, and we can all see the result. Veterans have service engrained in their very DNA. I view this office as a continuation of my military service. I have publicly committed to voluntarily leave office after just six years to allow for fresh new faces to carry the torch of representation. The corruption has to stop. I intend to lead by example.
