QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The only area where an exception exists is when the life of the mother is in danger. Even then, all reasonable attempts should always be made to save the life of both the mother and child.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government's job is not to create jobs, but create the circumstances where entrepreneurs create jobs. Lower and flatter taxes and less burdensome regulations are a good start.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
Decrease, flatten, simplify. Ideally, we get to a consumption based tax, but we have to move the ball forward. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a great start.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
We're doing it now. Allow businesses to thrive by decreasing the tax and regulatory burden that limits their expansion.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Reform is needed to keep the promise to our seniors, but to allow those, like myself, who are still decades from receiving benefits, the right to invest on our own in outside retirement accounts instead of through the government.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Neutral
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Let the free market take hold. Greater tax free contributions to HSA, detaching healthcare from employment, and allowing the sale and purchases across state lines are great starts. I would also start with policies designed to expand the Direct Primary Care model.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
The United States should help defend Israel from attack by its enemies.
Strongly Agree
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
Strongly Disagree
I support sanctuary cities.
Strongly Disagree
The United States should protect its sovereignty from the United Nations.
Agree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
The U.S. should continue to meet our foes on the battlefield and inflict damage on their infrastructure, leadership, and capabilities. I advocate for this because I have spent most of my adult life doing just that, and I see how successful it is to protecting our homeland.
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
Disagree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Man's fallen and imperfect nature, and our will to power, was recognized in the Founder's clear reasoning and the establishment of checks and balances and diffusion of power.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
When you are 12 feet away from an explosion and live to tell about it, your perspective on the world changes. I have always recognized the power of God in my life. I saw the power of prayer as I prayed for my mother as she battled cancer. I am certain God saved me from death because his plan for me was not yet fulfilled.
ABOUT YOU
I voted in these primaries and general elections:
2016 General Election
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
When I was a SEAL I knew I'd be on the front lines. Little did I know what it was like to be a conservative at Harvard. At Harvard I realized what we hear isn't a gross miss representation or a fallacious stereotype. Almost every day I went toe-to-toe with classmates and professors and stood up for our conservative values. I have left my personal Facebook page open to the public, with years of available posts which clearly point to my conservative character.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My entire adult life has been about service. As a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy SEALs I was tasked with some of the most critical and difficult missions our military faces. the stakes could not have been higher. I have studied policy and worked on Capitol Hill and know what it takes to get laws passed. I am ready to lead, I am ready to serve.
