What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
We must conduct intelligence gathering in a manner respectful of personal privacy, but without sacrificing the protection and safety of the American people. Stopping terroristic acts in the planning stage, and preventing such people from entering the country in the first place should be our domestic priority. We must support and enforce the "no entry" ban begun by the Trump administration. If identity verification of individuals seeking immigration status is not possible, then neither should be their entry. We need to continue to enable our military leaders to conduct warfighting actions that are decisive, overwhelming and targeted to the sources of international terrorism. When left with no other option than war itself, and diplomacy has failed, the safety of the American people must come first. We must increase defense spending. Sequestration has significantly hurt military readiness and should be repealed.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Growing up my family read the Bible every night. I accepted the Lord and was baptized at age 6. Biblical principles guide my life. I am currently a member of Houston's Second Baptist Church. The principles of the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in June of 2000 guide my faith.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
First, we believe Obamacare was an overstretch of government power and it's not the government's responsibility to mandate that everyone buy healthcare. We need to eliminate the waste, fraud and abuse in our healthcare systems. We need to lower the cost of drugs, have tort reform so there are not frivolous lawsuits and stop unnecessary medical procedures. These actions will help to lower the cost of healthcare. We need to fully repeal Obamacare and give Americans access to healthcare of their choice. More competition and the ability to purchase healthcare across state lines will decrease prices and provide better healthcare options for families.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The federal government needs to cut regulations and keep taxes low so business can flourish and jobs can be created. Government does not create jobs, private industry does. Government should get out of the way of the free market to help the economy grow. Eliminating waste, fraud and abuse in government will eventually allow families to keep more of their money to spend as they see fit and this will help boost the economy also.

What changes should be made to the tax code?
The tax code must be made simpler. The repeal of the Obamacare individual mandate was a huge success but we have a long way to go. The tax code should aim even more to be fair, flatter and simpler. A tax code that favors special interests or picks winners and losers is both unfair and not conducive to economic growth. Everyone should pay some tax, even if it is just a dollar. Flattening out the tax rates so that there are fewer brackets and removing special interest deductions for corporations are changes in which I'm interested.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to grow the economy. The way to spur the economy is through low taxes and decreasing government spending. While the federal tax rate on corporations has been made more competitive, that needs to occur across the country as well. States should be encouraged to decrease corporate tax rates. A healthy economy allows businesses to succeed and for them to create more jobs.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
First, let me clear - benefits for those currently or near receiving Social Security should not be touched. One way to stretch out the life of the program is to increase the retirement age for future generations. We should also look at means testing so that people who really need these programs will receive them. When we fully repeal Obamacare, and put back the $700B that was taken from Medicare to fund Obamacare - that alone will significantly increase the funding of Medicare. Getting government spending in check will allow us to fund such priorities for the longterm.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I grew up one of seven children on our family ranch in rural Texas. We were born into the ranch business and we worked hard to keep it successful. I took that same work ethic and experience with me to Texas A&M and graduated as one of the few women in my class with a degree in Engineering Technology-Industrial Distribution. I moved to Houston in career in semi-conductor manufacturing and built a successful business. My upbringing and career in business has given me a springboard of experience to take to Congress and promote ways in which we can get and keep our economy moving and reduce the burden on working families. For the last 10 years, I have been deeply engaged in politics on national, state and local levels. I have helped campaigns financially and I have also worked personally on the ground, blockwalking with candidates, organizing Republican meetings, testifying on pro-life legislation in the Texas Capitol and endorsing strong conservatives.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am prepared to take my conservative principles to Congress to help get DC out of Texas and bring strong Texas values to DC. In this race, I have the most experience and the most proven, consistent track record of fighting for conservative principles and succeeding in advancing the agenda. I am in a crowded field of nine candidates for this seat and this is a major differentiator between me and my opponents. The grassroots know me and they know I'm a fighter. I am committed to running a full campaign through the November election to fight to keep the Democrats and their liberal, anti-family agenda out of Texas. My campaign is committed to keeping Texas red and fighting for a conservative agenda for all of Texas families and families in America.
