Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Never
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
They understood that people are flawed and falliable, so they instituted checks and balances between the branches of government.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again Christian and a Baptist. I try to live by Biblical principles.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I have published multiple articles on religious liberty topics, and I defended conservative principles at the AG’s office such as keeping the words “under God” in the state pledge. I testified in the Texas legislature in favor of a pro-life bill for Texas Right to Life. I have done a lot of political fundraising and made contributions to conservative candidates such as Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, Rand Paul, and Ken Paxton.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Promote a strong and growing economy so that businesses in the market create more jobs. Keep Texas free from a state income tax, eliminate the gross margins tax, cut property taxes, and reduce regulation.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
It’s not the government’s job. I would remove regulatory barriers that prevent health insurance companies from participating in the Texas market. Increased competition will help keep costs down for everyone.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Keep taxes and regulations to a minimum (see #31). Stay out of the way of the free market.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have been a movement conservative for the last 20 years. I have a master’s degree in church-state studies and have been published frequently on religious liberty topics. I got to put theory into practice working at the Texas Attorney General’s office where I worked to defend religious liberty issues like monument displays containing religious symbols and the words “under God” in the state pledge. I am a Harvard-educated lawyer with experience in all three branches of government. I have worked on and supported campaigns and non-profits that promoted conservative causes, and I have been a leader in the conservative activist community.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I took about 6 years off of work to raise my 4 kids because I wanted them to have the same advantages that my stay-at-home mom gave to me. During that time, I stayed active in the conservative movement through my writings and volunteer work. Being a mom has been better training for dealing with people with opposing views than being a lawyer ever was. I’m looking forward to taking my values to the Texas legislature. I have a 20-year track record, and this district can count on me to vote for conservative Republican principles. My district deserves a representative who will work with Governor Abbott and our conservative leaders. I will be that person.
