QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Up until viability for any reason. Once viable, an abortion should only take place with provision for adoption of a live birth. If not viable, any time it is safe for the woman. This is a decision for the woman and her medical advisor.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

None at all.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The government cannot support one religion over another. There would not be a "state" religion.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

Open to the public is open to everyone. If a business only wishes to serve one race, one religion or one sex, they have to be a membership business that is NOT Open to the public,

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C: The problem with 'D" is many conflicts are a result of our own actions in the past and/or we have treaties binding us to support other countries.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

The US participated in the creation of the state of Israel and is obligated to support Israel today. Our Diplomats should be working hard to resolve the problems in Israel.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

I cannot tell you why there is a decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

When there is a clear danger to those sharing a space.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options - and private pay for those service providers willing to accept cash payments,.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Abolish the income tax replacing it with nothing. Cut spending. Balance the budget.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Agree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Neutral

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone without a health problem or criminal record. Immigrants looking for work should be allowed to enter the U.S. subject to identification and tracking them once in the U.S. The federal government should hire more agents and staff to keep up with the demand.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

I prefer LOCAL Control. Especially freedom to choose textbooks.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

Law enforcement is funded by our taxes. Community programs can be funded though individual donations and/or run by local churches or other private organizations. Private organizations such as the Salvation Army or local food banks are much more effective than any taxpayer funded mandated authoritarian program.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Gun registration and banning are not working. Why would we keep on doing what does not work? Laws are not the answer. Gun safety, gun safes, proper use and storage do work. A class in gun safety requirement for gun owners would help prevent accidents. Controlling street sales also help since often criminals buy there. There is no magic wand. It takes individual awareness and prompt responses to threats backed up by a gun.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Neutral

Adding more Justices will not solve the recently recognized problems of the Court. 2/3 of 5 Justices may seem insufficient at times. Perhaps 3/4 of 7 appeals to some. A total of 12 may sound even better to others. I don't have the answer any more than anyone else..

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

We need law enforcement to prevent, stop or punish the use of force or fraud. Prisons should be self supporting communities where those individuals learn to "Get Along".

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

As a Libertarian, I believe government exists to protect individual Rights. Period. In the case of the U.S., our Constitution limits the power of the government while state Constitutions grant power according to a majority of the voters.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Disagree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the Right of any individual to live life as they wish so long as they are peaceful. I think the initiation of force/violence is wrong. This includes fraud. My beliefs do not come from a religion. They come from knowing that what harms me or anyone else is bad and what allows us to live in harmony with our fellow man is good. I believe in reason and man's ability to reason, choose and act peacefully.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

Whatever the cause of changes in the planet, politics it not the way to fix the changes. Education - open and honestly presented - will guide individuals to make choices according to their understanding of helpful or harmful to the planet.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear power will be developed so that an individual, neighborhood, city or other collection of individuals can have a nuclear power source to meet their needs. Small units buried in the ground are already being built.
