QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I will continue to work towards a future where every Texan is valued and protected from conception to natural death. While serving on the SBOE, I fought for abstinence health standards.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

I support an abstinence-based education, promoting parental involvement, and providing information about alternatives such as adoption

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

The Ten Commandments should not be displayed in public school buildings or court houses.

Strongly Disagree

Displaying the Ten Commandments in public buildings or court houses serve as a reminder of our moral and ethical principles.

At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

Strongly Agree

I believe that students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity in a respectful manner.

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is an important ally to the United States and I support Governor Abbott and his total support of the State of Israel, the Israeli people and Israel’s right to self-defense.

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

I support limited government involvement in individuals' finances. I support policies that encourage economic growth and job creation, which allow individuals to achieve independence rather than relying on the government for a livable income.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I believe in limited government intervention and support a more localized approach to education funding, emphasizing parental choice, school competition, and a focus on essential academic skills.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

I believe in educating all our students. I feel parents should be the decision makers on their child’s education. I support school choice.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

Opt-In,respecting parental rights and allowing families to choose whether their children participate

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

I support a pro-life stance and traditional values in education.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

American History, Civics, Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Information Technology, Art & Music, Physical Fitness, Personal Finances, Vocational Learning, Foreign Language

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Strongly Agree

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Under what circumstances (if any) should schools be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccine mandates infringe upon individual freedoms and parental rights.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

VALUES

Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows, explicit materials in schools and libraries, and other public venues.

Strongly Agree

I will always fight to protect our children from inappropriate content and will continue to support HB-900. I stand firm to continue to ensure a quality, values-driven education for all Texas students.

Marriage between one man and one woman and the families they form are the foundation of civilization and are fundamental to the well-being and prosperity of society.

Strongly Agree

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.

Strongly Agree

Parents are the decision makers regarding their child, and this includes their well-being, including healthcare.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Christ is my savior and I follow Him.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Requiring photo identification is a reasonable measure to ensure the integrity of the election.

EQUALITY

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Disagree

Social Emotional Learning focuses too much on feelings and not learning the basics of reading, writing, math, social studies and science. I disagree with all the DEI rhetoric, students should be evaluated on their own merit and not race, religion or gender issues.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

As a mother who had a daughter who played high school and college soccer, I will never accept girls competing against biological males who identify as a girl. The unfairness to female athletes is unacceptable- no one should compete at a biological disadvantage.
