What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Stand strong for American values. Do not waiver in our position that America can and will defend herself. Eliminate chain migration. Militarily defeat sponsors of Islamic terror.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
America's founders knew that mankind is fallen and sinful by nature, that God alone is able to perform all three functions perfectly, by Himself. He performs legislative, executive, and judicial functions. Isaiah wrote, “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us” (Isaiah 33:22). Due to our propensity to mess things up, our Founders carefully defined, separated and LIMITED the powers among three branches.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Our most important job in this life is to glorify God in all we do. We are to love and care for each other as we love ourselves. I agree with Rev. Billy Graham when he said, "America's founding fathers did not intend to take religion out of education. Many of the nation's greatest universities were founded by evangelists and religious leaders; but many of these have lost the founders concept and become secular institutions. Because of this attitude, secular education is stumbling and floundering." Our founding fathers tried to protect freedom of religion, not freedom FROM religion. I am an active member of the 4th Presbyterian church in Bethesda, MD.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative

On my campaign website I outline my position on a variety if issues including economic, social, foreign policy and immigration. I have also posted and publicly discussed my positions on my facebook page. www.lloyd4congress.com https://www.facebook.com/lloyd4congress/
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Greatly reduce government involvement in healthcare, use free market solutions to compete and provide excellent outcomes for all. No one would receive services free of charge. Even the most economically challenged individuals should pay SOMETHING toward their care. By taking personal responsibility for one's healthcare there will be increased attention to cost, value, and necessity of that care. Providers would then have to compete - leading to adequate, affordable and accessible care for all.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government should get out of the way, reduce regulations and lower taxes. Companies should not be overwhelmed by costly and burdensome red tape.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
Tax code should be simplified. There should be NO bracket of individuals that is exempt from income tax. A simple flat tax code ex: 10%, would mean someone who makes very little would pay very little, and one who makes more, would obviously pay more. Everyone then plays a part in supporting our government, everyone has a vested interest.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to boost the economy and allow new business to flourish. For businesses to flourish, government should get out of the way, reduce regulations and lower taxes. Companies should not be overwhelmed by costly and burdensome red tape. Reduce illegal immigration, thereby providing more jobs for legal citizens.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
No system where everyone is supposed to be able to draw WAY more than they ever put in can remain solvent. We should first raise the age of retirement for benefits, and begin to phase in a program where young people can manage their own retirement savings through a 401K or similar program.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am a full time Nurse Practitioner working in private practice, urgent care, performing home infusions and volunteering in clinics for the uninsured. I’ve raised four children and all have attended local public schools. I am a registered provider with Maryland’s CRISP database, dealing with elements of the Opioid epidemic everyday. I have an MBA in International Business, am fluent in Spanish, and worked in Mexico as a government liaison so I have a deep understanding of immigrations issues. I am on the front line dealing personally with the major issues facing Maryland every day.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am running for office because I am tired of retreating in the face of a political opposition that is chipping away at our American way of life as established by the founders of this country. I am concerned about the lack of affordable healthcare, illegal immigration, and the disregard for the Constitution. We cannot be the sanctuary nation for the world. State and federal government must enforce immigration laws and Voter ID. Our 1st and 2nd amendment rights are constantly being threatened. We need to protect the rights for all that are guaranteed in our Constitution. I support President Trump in making America Great Again. I am not, nor strive to be a career politician. I do not owe any individual or special interest groups, which gives me the freedom to speak and vote for my conservative ideals. I would like to be elected for my position on the issues, and if elected, would always VOTE as I campaigned.
