OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Do you support the proposed $850 million bond in its entirety?

No

The $850 million bond is broken into 6 propositions. Which one is most important to you? 1. Streets, bridges & Sidewalks - $446,263,000 2. Drainage & Flood - $138,988,000 3. Parks & Recreation - $187,313,000 4. Library & Cultural - $24,025,000 5. Public Safety Facilities – $34,411,000 6. Neighborhoods – $20 million

We can fix our infrastructure and basic needs without bonds (loans on increased taxes)

Which of the above six propositions would you vote against? (list all that apply)

All of the above. Our drainage, street lights, sidewalks, and roads are in poor shape and all this bond does is go to pet projects. I have called the OneSA campaign and they never returned my phone call, such a disorganized boondoggle on our ballot. So I would encourage the citizens to VOTE NO on the deferred tax increase known as the 6 bonds.

Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The more people live by Judeo-Christian values, the less government is needed.

Strongly Agree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

More restrictive gun control laws are needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

Planned Parenthood should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Individuals should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on their "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

It is inappropriate for a local government to recognize the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” and issue rules relating to an individual's beliefs about gender and sexuality.

Strongly Agree

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

There should be strict enforcement of federal and state laws prohibiting the distribution of obscene pornography, including over the Internet.

Disagree

I support tolling existing highways that have been previously un-tolled.

Strongly Disagree

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Marijuana should be legalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol.

Disagree

Considering these issues (social, economic, education, transportation, water or sewer), which is the most critical to our city?

Transportation and water and sewer, and repeal of the 1/8 Pre-K sales tax.

Please list up to six issues or projects that you feel need the most attention, in priority order.

1. Firing City Manager Sheryl Sculley and Police Chief William McManus and replace them with a city manager that will focus on the basics with a salary cap of no more than $200,000 per year and start the new city manager at $100,000 per year. Replace William McManus with someone like Sheriff David Clarke who believes in enforcing the rule of law. 2. Fixing all of our streetlights that have been burnt out, and to install new ones where needed. 3. Amending our conservation ordinance preventing water from running off into the street by the property owner. Repealing the 1/4 Edwards Aquifer Sales tax. 4. Fixing our drainage 5. Fixing our sidewalks 6. Providing expanded bus service past 9 pm outside loop 410.

I own one or more firearms.

Yes

I support the use of Collective Bargaining.

Strongly Disagree

I believe the current City Manager should be replaced.

Yes

Additional comment from candidate:

I am running for Mayor of San Antonio, because we need better public transportation. We need our streetlights fixed, our drainage fixed, and our sidewalks repaired. We don't need a land bridge over Hardberger Park, nor do we need to build any more parks with taxpayer dollars. We need a new Police Chief that is tough on crime, and most importantly, a new City Manager that fixes our infrastructure. I will repeal the Edwards Aquifer tax, and the Pre K sales tax creating economic growth and jobs for our city. I ride public transit, my opponents do not. So I know about transit, while they don't have even a clue.
