OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Do you support the proposed $850 million bond in its entirety?
No
The $850 million bond is broken into 6 propositions. Which one is most important to you? 1. Streets, bridges & Sidewalks - $446,263,000 2. Drainage & Flood - $138,988,000 3. Parks & Recreation - $187,313,000 4. Library & Cultural - $24,025,000 5. Public Safety Facilities – $34,411,000 6. Neighborhoods – $20 million
Drainage and Flood but I do not want $1,389,000 public art included in this.
Which of the above six propositions would you vote against? (list all that apply)
Streets, Bridges & Sidewalks; Parks and Recreation; Library and Cultural; Public Safety Facilities; Neighborhoods I disapprove of these because these contain much wasteful spending and are very unfairly distributed.
Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

More restrictive gun control laws are needed to protect public safety.
Strongly Disagree
Planned Parenthood should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Individuals should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on their "gender identity."
Strongly Disagree
It is inappropriate for a local government to recognize the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” and issue rules relating to an individual's beliefs about gender and sexuality.
Strongly Agree
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
There should be strict enforcement of federal and state laws prohibiting the distribution of obscene pornography, including over the Internet.
Strongly Agree
I support tolling existing highways that have been previously un-tolled.

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Marijuana should be legalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol.
Strongly Disagree

(We already own the rights of way to 1604 and IH 10) Rebuilding broken streets correctly Upgrading drainage and flood control Increasing the number of firehouses and ambulances Decreasing excessive fees and regulations to make our city more business- friendly and home ownership more accessible to middle income earners

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the only Son of the only Almighty God, our Creator. I believe Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. I believe in salvation by faith. I believe the Bible is the holy, inerrant Word of God. I believe the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and the Church guide believers to live a holy life of divine purpose on this earth for the glory of our loving Father God. I believe Jesus is the only way to the Father. I believe the family is God's plan. I believe God is the holy, righteous judge of every heart. I am very grateful He is merciful beyond understanding. I believe joy is found when one is in the center of God's will. I value truth, integrity, humility, friendships, family, all ethnic groups, financial independence and righteous government by the people.
