OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Do you support the proposed $850 million bond in its entirety?
No
The $850 million bond is broken into 6 propositions. Which one is most important to you? 1. Streets, bridges & Sidewalks - $446,263,000 2. Drainage & Flood - $138,988,000 3. Parks & Recreation - $187,313,000 4. Library & Cultural - $24,025,000 5. Public Safety Facilities – $34,411,000 6. Neighborhoods – $20 million
I feel the Streets, bridges, and sidewalks are the most important to my District.
Which of the above six propositions would you vote against? (list all that apply)
I would vote against all of it, because I would like to see it more thoroughly looked at as a whole. I think there are a lot of great ideas in this bond, but in order to perfect it, it would need to be reexamined. For instance the "neighborhood improvements" section of the bond is to allow for affordable housing in San Antonio. However, this is not specified where, this could lead to possible re-zoning that may displace families. Also we need to ensure these affordable projects are dispersed throughout the city, not in one particular section. This would prevent systematic economic segregation in the city of San Antonio.
Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
This was the foundation of American government. Before the parliament in England, The King had the power to be the judge, jury, and executioner in government. Thanks to our constitutions separation of powers we have seen a system of checks and balancees that ensure our elected officials never have to much power. Take for instance president Trumps travel ban, that was put on halt by a federal judge, because it was deemed unconstitutional. This is why our founding fathers wrote the constitution.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in god. I was baptized and underwent my confirmation in the Catholic church of Holy Redeemer.
