OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Do you support the Plano “Equal Rights Ordinance” passed by the City in 2014 that gave special protections on the basis of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”?

No

Do you support the Plano Tomorrow plan and its focus on adding significantly more high-density housing?

No

Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The more people live by Judeo-Christian values, the less government is needed.

Strongly Agree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

More restrictive gun control laws are needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

Planned Parenthood should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Individuals should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on their "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

It is inappropriate for a local government to recognize the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” and issue rules relating to an individual's beliefs about gender and sexuality.

Strongly Agree

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

There should be strict enforcement of federal and state laws prohibiting the distribution of obscene pornography, including over the Internet.

Strongly Agree

I support tolling existing highways that have been previously un-tolled.

Strongly Disagree

Government should not discriminate against individuals, organizations, or business owners who affirm marriage as between one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Marijuana should be legalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol.

Strongly Disagree

Considering these issues (social, economic, education, transportation, water or sewer), which is the most critical to our city?

Of the choices given, Water and Sewer Services are the most critical functions of City Government.

Please list up to six issues or projects that you feel need the most attention, in priority order.

Stop the Law Suit against the City over Plano Tomorrow and act on the Citizen's Petition to allow a referendum on the matter. Put a hold on all pending permits for apartments. Establish Transparency in City Government. Clean up the City Budget and take the fat out of it. Reduce City Taxes. Coordinate any future high-density development with the PISD. Find areas where City Services can be provided by Private Enterprise to reduce the Tax burden.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

America's Founders were clearly guided by Biblical Principles and they looked to God for his guidance. There is no other way that such a magnificent document could be created by men alone.

I own one or more firearms.

No Answer

If you own a business, please describe.

I own commercial real estate.

Did you contribute 10% or more of your gross income to charity last year?

Yes

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. I believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, came to earth in the form of a man, lived a sinless life, and sacrificed Himself on a Cross to pay for My Sins. Jesus is my Lord, my Savior, and my God. I believe that He, and He alone, offers me eternal salvation. Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life and none will come to the Father except through Jesus because He paid my sin debt in full.

Additional comment from candidate:

At the end of my term on the Plano City Council, I want to be able to look back and see that Plano is still the beautiful suburban city that it is today. It is still a suburb and I intend to keep it that way.
