OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Disagree

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

The imperfect nature of man is why the Founders were very careful in making sure there was a set of checks and balances within our government's framework. This limit of power is needed, as is evidenced today. The system only works when each branch operates within their scope. Thankfully, the other branches have the authority to rein in overreach when it occurs.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1. Jobs and the Economy: Right now, we are approaching $18 trillion in national debt. What that comes out to is about $60,000 per man, woman and child in the United States. Because of government’s reckless spending, the government has taken the choice about what you do with your money away from you. For the first time since 1978 we've passed a budget and have gotten the Constitutional appropriations process back on track. This is important because it gives us the ability to make the necessary cuts and needed common sense reforms. Finally, we've passed over 40 jobs bills out of the House. 2. National Security: National security begins with a secure border. This stems from failed policy, a lack of enforcement of the laws already on the books, and the unwillingness to do what is best for America. 3. Lack of Accountability in Washington: Whether it's Benghazi or the IRS targeting conservatives or the NSA and the VA creating fake waiting lists, we need accountability in Washington.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

In cases of rape or incest or when the life of the mother is threatened. However, this is a State's rights issue. The States should decide whether or not to allow this practice.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

1. God 2.Constitution 3. Voters

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God, Country, and Family. I am a Christian, Conservative and believe that our rights come from a Creator - not from government.
