OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and is the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

3. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

4. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Disagree

5. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

6. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

7. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Neutral

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

Agree

9. U.S. disarmament entailed in President Obama’s defense budget cuts will endanger our national security.

Agree

10. Pure democracy is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

11. Who has the primary responsibility to be sure children are properly educated?

1 Parents, 2 Grandparent, 3 Aunt/Uncle, 4 sibling

12. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

It is not the role of government to legislate what constitutes extenuating circumstances, however I would express my extreme personal disgust with the abortion of an otherwise healthy baby/fetus at any time after the the child could survive with basic maternal care, e.g. nursing, clothing, shelter, etc. Allowing myself to be drawn into the game or words, an extenuating circumstance remains the mothers sole discretion. No government has the "right" to order a woman to give birth, but the government can provide *information* -- NOT SERVICES -- from both sides of the aisle.

13. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

Tricky question, in a subtle word-play way. My 1st interpretation contains one item: God. A more thorough analysis: God(creator), Voters(men), Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court; that's it for "authority" Media(press)receives special protection.

14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Phil.101 Greed, the unchecked desire for wealth, power, etc. They also knew the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The Constitutional Republic was believed to be the most robust model for preserving the rights of the people. Of course they could not anticipate the effects of phenomena yet to be discovered. And sloth in the population.

15. Please list your educational, military and vocational history, and any church and civic leadership positions held, and political positions held or sought.

Attended Norwalk public schools 70-82, advanced classes Fairfield university '77, Perkin-Elmer internship '78, Norwalk Tech College, UConn, mostly self taught. Accepted USN nuclear power program 1985 no duty. I have worked as a technical person / engineer since my teens. I became an entrepreneur in 2001. I am not a particularly "social" person, but I have volunteered or been "drafted" for various organization events and emergency responses since childhood. One of the things I like best about volunteering is anonymity. I have been treasurer of Southern Connecticut Mensa and Villa Madeleine RCA, Publisher of Norwalk Marching Bears newsletter, an most recently candidate for US Senate and presidential elector on the Libertarian ticket.

16. What charitable, educational, religious, or political organizations have you been affiliated with as a member, contributor, or volunteer?
