QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
The taking of an innocent human life should never be a choice except in the rare circumstance to protect the life of the Mother.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I oppose abortion and am unequivocally pro-Life. Abortion, whether administered surgically or drug induced is still the taking of an innocent human life and should be treated as such. Abortion drugs must be strictly regulated and treated as deadly controlled substances.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
No taxpayer monies should ever be given to any abortion provider whatsoever.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I am staunchly pro-Life from conception to natural death. God giveth life and God determines when our lives in the earthly realm should end. This is not a decision for man, but for God!
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Never!
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
No. This is blatantly unconstitutional and a violation of our First Amendment freedoms.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
I believe Chinese Communists pose the greatest threat to the long-term security of the United States and the American people. I also believe that Communism throughout the world is a threat to our way of life and we must fight communism wherever found. As State Representative, I will introduce legislation to prevent the sale or acquisition of Texas farm and ranch land by anyone affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party or any other nation hostile to the United States.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Extremely important. Strategically, the Jewish State of Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East, and our most dependable ally in the region. Morally, the Jewish homeland, as a nation, must be secure. Religiously, the long Jewish tradition and vessel of God and Jesus is, has and will be defended by all God fearing nations. Israel is the biblical heartland and the home of God's chosen people. We have a biblical mandate to defend Israel and its people.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Medicaid spending should be greatly reduced, should be fully transparent, and available only to U.S. citizens. I believe we should be moving toward medical savings accounts and away from 3rd party taxpayer funded insurance schemes. Ending 3rd party pay and restoring free market forces in medicine would naturally eliminate the massive waste and fraud now in the industry.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free Enterprise and the right to private property form the foundation of our rule of law and are the hallmark of our Republic. I stand in opposition to any erosion of the free enterprise system or any effort to curtail our precious private property rights. I oppose any effort by anyone to diminish these core principles. These core values will form the basis of my service in the Texas House of Representatives.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I am opposed to any minimum wage. Wages should represent a private contract. Government regulation of a minimum wage costs jobs, harms small businesses, and especially hurts those who need a job the most like young people and entry level workers.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
ESG ratings and other radical, leftist woke schemes are harmful and should never be used as a criteria when investing public monies. All public money should be invested wisely based only upon intrinsic value to produce the greatest tangible economic return on investment based upon risk versus return.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Our nation is being invaded and we must secure our state and nation from this attack. We must finish the border wall and utilize every available resource to secure our Southern border, including closing it if necessary. Without borders we have no nation and it is imperative that we protect our sovereignty and the people of Texas from this invading force.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
I wholeheartedly support parental choice in education with the money following the child.I have been an advocate for school choice in Texas for over two decades. My grandchildren are homeschooled and I fully support Educational Savings Accounts for all Texas schools - public, charter, private, or homeschool.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Radical Leftist efforts to defund the police have been shown to be dangerous and foolhardy. The rule of law must be fully upheld and our peace officers supported as they work to protect the public's safety.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. The Second Amendment is sacrosanct, has no age limitations, and must never be abridged.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
We should seek every available means to protect our precious children. Arming teachers and other school staff members is one of many tools that should be allowed to be implemented in order to do so. If elected officials can be protected by guns, so should Texas school children.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
It is well spelled out in our constitution and best administered by our republican form of government. The great purpose is to ensure, to the maximum extent, the preservation and increase in the liberty of mankind and to preserve the natural rights of man given to us by God.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
These are crimes and constitute child abuse!
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parental rights and responsibilities are sacrosanct and must be clear, balanced and performed. Parents should not have the right to abuse their children i.e.; gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Never.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
It is critical to the long-term viability of our state and nation, and to our family units that we fight to protect the institution of traditional marriage. God has ordained marriage as between one man and one woman and man cannot alter what God has ordained.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a baptized and born again Christian who has been saved by grace and the blood of Jesus Christ. I daily practice my faith, am active in my church, raised my children to be Christians, and they in turn are raising my five grandchildren as such. Our state and nation were founded upon Judeo-Christian principles and we have a biblical obligation to protect these sacred values.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We must fully secure our elections and prohibit any non-U.S. citizen from voting in Texas elections. A non U.S. citizen voting in a Texas election or attempting to do so must be prosecuted as a felony offender.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College demonstrates the brilliance of our founders and must be preserved at all costs.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The left promotes an image of racism to create anarchy. All people are different and all are God’s creatures. We cannot allow leftist anarchists to create the appearance of racism to further their radical agenda or to sow discord in their pursuit of totalitarianism.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Critical Race Theory is a woke, radical leftist scheme to damage the concept of American Exceptionalism and must be rejected at all costs.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A and C. We must not allow the climate change hoax and its adherents to weaken America's oil and gas industry, harm businesses, cost jobs, or make the United States dependent upon foreign energy sources.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural Gas is the best all around when coupled with high efficiency high volume gas turbine generators. Nuclear is the most reliable.
