OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Neutral
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am not qualified to make this decision for another person.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
All government spending should on the table for cuts.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Disagree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Neutral
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Under the tradition of English Common Law, it was made clear there was a difference between ecclesiastical and civil law. The government as an organization, must be kept out of the affairs of the church, and keep the governing body of the church out of civil government. The individuals of either are free to and encouraged to participate in the other.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The free market is already providing access to affordable health care, but it hasn't been widely adopted. Through health sharing ministries, direct primary care, health savings accounts, and other free market approaches we know that health care is affordable. In the future we need to protect the free market and remove barriers.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Disagree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Neutral
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Free people should be able to move as they wish.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Neutral
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. I was raised in, and the most comfortable in the Assemblies of God church, although I have not been an active member of a congregation in several years.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I chose moderate because libertarian was not an option . Some of my views may be considered conservative, while others can be considered liberal. My overall views are best described as libertarian. We base our philosophy on the principles of personal responsibility, protection of natural rights granted by God, and rejection of the initiation of violence to achieve personal and political goals. https://www.libertarianism.org/
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
There is no amount of education or experience that qualifies one person to make rules in an attempt to rule the life of another person. The founders were clear that governments are instituted to protect the rights granted by God. My goal is to protect the rights of the individual from government at every level.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
None of the Above.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
• I do not deny that life begins at conception, but we can't end abortion with government. Only by acting as individuals in our communities, helping the women who believe abortion is their last or best choice, will we make a difference. • I do not believe the government has any place in defining or licensing marriage. • The best way to maintain peace is through free trade. • I oppose mandatory minimum laws because they do not allow for judgments based on individual circumstances.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
All restrictions on gun ownership are infringements on the fundamental natural right to life, liberty, and property, and the right to defend life, liberty, and property. All existing laws should be repealed.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Agree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Healthcare - Make permanent all changes to make access to care easier during the current pandemic. Expand scope of care for what are called physician extenders. Firearms - Repeal the age limit and waiting period that were passed in 2018. Pass permitless concealed carry. Regulation - Remove more barriers to employment such as occupational licensing.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I am not sure it raises to the level of domestic security threat.
