Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The easy answer is to say only in the case where the life of the mother is at risk or in the case of rape or incest. My problem is that I am not a woman and do I have the right to decide policy concerning women. I want the women of my district to help decide policy concerning women’s issues. However, we need to remember that abortion have unintended consequences including sterility, major infections and death. And it is also big business with Planned Parenthood making a profit last of over $77.5 million dollars and received $554.6 million dollars in Government funding. My belief is this should be a state issue, with each states policy being determined by the citizens of that state.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We will never see the end extremism or fanaticism, and we can’t kill everyone who hates us. We need to find out who pays for terrorism and stop them. This is nothing new in the Middle East, and this sort of thing has been going on since the beginning of recorded history. Start by getting out of the Middle East, and focus on the terrorism in Mexico, our neighbors to the south are suffering from terrorism as we speak. We need to focus on our citizens safety first (Without losing our freedoms and liberty in the process), our Hemisphere next and then the rest of the world.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Anyone remember the seven deadly sins? Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony(can also apply to wealth and power), wrath and sloth.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God and Jesus Christ is my savior. However I do not believe in men and what they have done in the name of God. Far too often they have passed laws and used morality as the reason for doing it. Another downside of basing our laws solely on religious beliefs is the effect that it would have on religion itself. When the path to power goes through the church, the church itself will be thoroughly corrupted. That’s why our ancestors not only believed in protecting people’s right to faith, but also in protecting people’s rights from other faiths. Whether you are looking at the dark ages of Europe or some of the modern day theocracies of the Middle East, religion becomes distorted to suit the needs of those in power. In these theocracies, we find the lack of tolerance for other religions can be brutal and twisted.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am a Libertarian so my views apply to both conservative and liberal viewpoints, as well as opposed to some of them. I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal, I will always err on the side of freedom and liberty. Either all rights apply to everyone or they are deserved by no one. Freedom and liberty means you protect others rights even though you don't agree with them and they protect yours.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The cost of healthcare is the problem, and the federal government is responsible. Lower the cost and the problems with healthcare will decrease. Go back to community hospitals and simplify medical regulations to where it can be more effient and cost effective.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Get out of the way, let communities exercise control over the kind of businesses they allow in. Pollution of the water, air and soil we all share should be the governments main concern.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

The simpler the better, cut spending so not as much money is needed. Drop taxes that restrict the rights of business or reduce them as much as possible.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

he proper role of the state is to create an environment that is business friendly. The proper role of the state is to assist communities in planning and adapting resources to attract businesses. My concern is when incentives are offered to relocate, then the businesses will ask for incentives to stay. The citizens of this state should not foot the bill for a bidding war with other states over business relocation.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The Social Security trust fund is empty except for IOUs from the government who took the money and wasted it. We are obligated to take care of the commitments and promises made, but let future generations opt out of the system. The first step is to stop taking money out of the Social Security trust fund.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

While I have two college degrees that is only a starting point for learning about life. I have known what it is like to face hardship and seeing firsthand the suffering that neighbors and friends go through when hit by tragedy. Victims of opioid addiction, medical crisis, victims of predatory lending, natural disasters and victims of crimes that have devastated families and entire communities. These tragic events have been brought to you by both parties, but I bet they both benefited from the problem. The medical industry spends a lot of money every year lobbying in DC. The private prison industry is spending a lot of money to lobby for stricter laws to lock up more people and fill prison beds. I want to be the one to stand up for the common man. I want to help ordinary people, but also prevent government and unscrupulous businesses from taking advantage of the people.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a Libertarian and will always approach every problem as such, but I will listen to the people and we will decide together how we will vote on every bill. While I will try to vote the way you want me to, in the end I am the one who must cast a vote that I can live with. My intention is to run my office as accessibly as possible to all the people, rich or poor. My mission will be give the people more freedom, greater liberty, smaller government, restore personal privacy and make government more accountable to the people.
