14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The Founding Fathers understood from experience that unbalanced power led to an abuse and the unfettered ability to claim ownership over other peoples property. The separation of powers is design to protect our GOD GIVEN right to life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness (there are no guarantees).

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1) Getting the federal government out of the healthcare industry. They have no constitutional authority to be involved in it, and in just a few short years have proven that they're inept and making the situation worse for the majority of Americans. 2) Reducing the federal debt. We're borrowing at the rate of $40,000+ per SECOND. This MUST be stopped. We need to pass a budget that REDUCES the federal debt every year. There are hundreds of billions to be saved by eliminating waste & fraud, and limiting the federal government to its narrow constitutional role. 3) We need to replace the ENTIRE tax code to a flat tax with a moderate per person exemption and limit deductions to charitable contributions. Transition all of the tax professionals that will no longer be needed to audit the last ten years of the federal government expenses to identify and reclaim over billings, fraud, etc.

16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
In a true matter of life and death where the physical life of the mother is at stake a physician should be allowed to determine which patient bears the greater risk - both should be treated equally. There should be no differentiation between the unborn and the born.

18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that the Bible, as originally written, is authored by God. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was divinely conceived, lived a perfect life, was sacrificed on the cross for the sins of mankind, ascended to the right hand of God, and is the Lord and Savior for everyone who confesses with their mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead. Scripture is life's "instruction book" as well as God's "autobiography" and we are commanded to study the Word of God and apply it.
