The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Strongly Agree

Current regulations on domestic oil exploration and drilling are more restrictive than are necessary.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

God Constitution Supreme Court - interprets laws' constitutionality without having any policing power whatsoever Congress - writes the laws as afforded/guided (ideally) by the people they represent in our democratic republic

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I would prefer that abortion never be an option. I hope that all life could be protected and treasured. However, I understand why one may consider it under circumstances including rape and incest.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The nature of man to pervert power and seek absolute power.

Additional comment from candidate:

Question 12: Current laws must be enforced Question 13: America is not a "pure democracy" Question 17: As a Catholic, I see marriage as a sacrament of my faith as given by God. America is a secular entity with religious freedom, including freedom for those whose faith differs from mine on the issue of the definition of marriage. I agree that marriage is between one man and one woman at one time. Question 18: We must be able to validate each voter in an election. That may not only be through photo ID. Question 22: The US Constitution is the supreme law of the law. Sharia will not be instituted in America nor will it ever supersede the Constitution..
