OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Neutral

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

If the life of the mother is in danger, then it should be a discussion between the mother, the doctor and the father.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

First the US should be removing itself from undeclared wars around the world. Second the US should strengthen its borders to prevent foreign enemies from entering. Third, if there is a real threat from a foreign power that is controlled by a radical Islamic regime, a proper declaration of war should be made by the Congress and then and only then, an UNRESTRICTED war should be executed.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The understanding that men are flawed and therefore to ensure Liberty, Government must be limited.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Catholic. I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again;he ascended into heaven,he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would remove government restrictions on the sale of health insurance across State boundaries. I would like to see health insurance available cheaply without the requirement of it being tide to an employer.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The (Federal) government's role to a stable economy is limited to what it can do Constitutionally. I would like to see an end to the PRIVATE bank known as the Federal Reserve, the restoration of the gold standard and removal of Federal regulations on businesses. I would also like to effectively repeal the 16th Amendment and return to the system of taxation that was installed by the founders.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

I would like to effectively repeal the 16th Amendment and return to the system of taxation that was installed by the founders. Short of that, drastically reduce Federal taxes.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

I would like to effectively repeal the 16th Amendment and return to the system of taxation that was installed by the founders. Also the removal of Federal regulations on businesses.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

As a matter of principle I would like to see an end to Social Security benefits, however as a matter of policy, I understand that SS is something that many Americans currently depend on. In the short term, remove the current cap on SS payment. This would also allow a lower overall SS tax on all who pay into the system. In the long term, for those currently collecting or at the end of their careers, no change in policy. To those entering the workforce, allow them to save in private retirement accounts for their own retirement, with less restrictions and to be able to do so with pre-tax money. Effectively, remove the government from the business of retirement savings; it is not a delegated power of government.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 2: No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen. I meet these qualifications. More pragmatically, I am a Veteran of the US Navy Submarine service. I have been honorably discharged from the same. I currently am a Senior Reactor Operator and make multi-million dollar decisions on a daily basis. I am an effective and liked manager.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a married father of 2. My wife is a strong influence in my life and I am very proud of her in all she does as a mother and in her new career. I am running for office to limit the power of the Federal Government generally and the Congress specifically. I can not promise that I will go to Washington and drain the swamp, I am only one man. What I CAN promise, is that the oath I took in 1997 when I enlisted in the Navy has no expiration date and I will hold true to it. I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic.
