Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Because I believe God has formed us in our mother's wombs and that life begins at conception, I do not feel there is any circumstance in which abortion is permissible except where the mother's life is imminently threatened. When we call on the government to preserve and defend the lives of infants whose hearts are beating, whose brains are functioning, and who respond to pain, we are not asking the state to be the church, we are asking the state to be the state. Our legislators and justices must be reminded that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” And what could bring greater reproach upon us than the killing of over 58 million children, each created in the image of God, since Roe v. Wade? But in December 2015, after revelations about Planned Parenthood’s outrageous conduct, the majority of the Republicans in Congress (150 of 234) voted to use our taxpayer money to fully fund Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Scripture says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that none are righteous, no, not one. Our founders knew that we are inherently selfish and sinful and not inherently good, and that the very notion of power presupposes its abuse. Accordingly, they fashioned a system that balanced and separated power and that actually used our selfish traits toward the betterment of the whole.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I came to faith in Christ in college. I believe we are all sinners, that "the wages of sin is death" and eternal separation from God, that God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, taking upon Himself the punishment we deserved for neglecting and defying Him. I believe God's word is set out in the Holy Scriptures and that the Bible is in the original text the inspired and inerrant Word of God. I also believe there is nothing we can do to merit God's favor, that "by grace you have been saved through faith" and that even our faith is a gift from God, lest any of us should boast. Because of that, I have empathy for those less fortunate and those who don't know Him because I know that "there but for the grace of God go I." Finally, I reject the notion that salvation can be found through any religion. Scripture and Jesus didn't leave us that option. Christ said "I am the way the truth and the life, and no man comes to the Father except by me."
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I have demonstrated my commitment to conservative principles by fighting for them my entire life. As United States Attorney I put terrorists behind bars, enforced the immigration laws, and aggressively prosecuted violent offenders. I have since assisted the legal team fighting ObamaCare, fought Planned Parenthood in an intense 8-day trial defending Florida’s Parental Notice of Abortion Act, fought as Bush's federal trial attorney handling the military ballot case in the 2000 recount battle, fought in court to defend Florida’s School Choice Law, testified before Congress in April 2016 on Planned Parenthood's sale of aborted unborn infant body parts, prosecuted Danny Rolling who terrorized Gainesville by murdering 5 UofF students, put in prison the man who burned 45 churches in the Southeast and fought the narco-terrorists with such zeal that the head of the Colombian Coastal Cartel was recorded saying he planned to take out the US Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
