From an early age I have maintained the belief that individuals can make better decisions for themselves than their government ever could. Ronald Reagan once said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same..." I couldn't agree more. I am very proud of the work I've been able to accomplish during my leadership at the Coalition to Reduce Spending in the fight for limited government, and I intend to continue this fight in defending the liberty of Florida's 1st District.

Regarding question 21: My job as a member of Congress is to ensure that the federal government is operating within the 18 enumerated powers of the Constitution, and ensure that all other policy areas are reserved for states to preside over, as specified in the 10th Amendment.
