OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if there are medical reasons for example the life of the mother is at risk.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Neutral

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Reduce taxes and regulations which allow businesses to expand and hire more employees.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

A limited role. Providing incentives only when necessary. Limiting taxes and red tape helps the private sector prosper and expand.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Very few people in Wisconsin lack affordable and accessible healthcare coverage. I think Wisconsin businesses are doing a great job of providing high quality healthcare coverage and we should continue to provide the private sector with the ability to continue this.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

George Washington's comment that “Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society” is still true today.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Disagree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The Articles of Confederation, the governing documents before the US Constitution were inadequate. The document lacked basic government authority. James Madison was the architect of the separation of powers. Madison experienced the British government’s violation of the traditional rights of Englishmen in the years leading to America’s independence and made certain that the separation of powers existed. A wise move that still holds much value in government today!

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm catholic and have raised my family under the catholic teachings. I regularly attend church with my wife and family.

My voting record in the Wisconsin State Senate. My endorsements by many various organizations.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

As a private sector manager for almost 30 years, I have had much life experience working with people. This is a people persons job. I enjoy discussing issues even with those who might disagree with me. In my first term as a State Senator I've authored and had passed into law almost 20 bi-partisan bills. I work well with all and humbly ask that you send me back to Madison for 4 more years.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I'm committed to Economic Development and Workforce Development. This is my passion. I serve as a Board Member on the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. I ready and eager to continue to help in Wisconsin's recovery during this pandemic. Wisconsin and the entire United States will come out of this stronger and in a better position than just a few short months ago when this virus shut down our economy. I have an open door policy and I am willing to discuss any issue with anyone. I ready to roll up my sleeves and get back to work and I ask for your vote on November 3rd.
