What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to reduce burdens on job creators, limit regulations and lower taxes so that they have the resources to hire people.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Right now our system has little to no competition. People don't know what they are getting for the money they spend on healthcare. If we are to promote affordable and accessible healthcare, we need more competition and less government mandates, while addressing pre-existing conditions.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The role of government should be to create a market that is fair and allows for free competition, while investing in infrastructure to facilitates the flow of goods and services.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am running for my second term as a state Representative. I serve on several committees that align with my professional expertise. I have extensive experience in business, including owning and operating a winery and as a financial adviser. I have a degree in business management. I have also been appointed to represent my caucus on several committees including tourism, international trade and the Census.
