What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

First, the Founders recognized the fallen nature of mankind, and therefore recognized the likelihood and propensity of human institutions, especially governments, to seek greater and greater power through the course of time. Secondly, the Founders recognized that government was subject to God, and that fundamental rights proceed and are given from God, they are not granted or created by governments.

The only time abortion should be permitted is when the life of the mother is at risk.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a sinner saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 14 years old. However, much earlier in my life, even some of my earliest memories, are being aware of God's presence and action and involvement in my life. As a very young child, I often had long discussions about God with the woman who helped my Mom with taking care of our house. That woman’s name was Leola Thomas, and she was truly a person filled with the Spirit of God. I have attended various denominational and non-denominational Christian churches throughout my life. I have always had a sense that God was involved with my life, and that He was drawing me to Himself. I am currently a member and deacon at Southside Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I am proud to call myself a conservative. I may not have any political experience to show my ideology, but I have a great deal of life experience that I believe roots me in my principles. As a business owner I experienced first hand just how hard it is for a business to keep the doors open. As a father I have fought for better education for my kids in various school advisory councils. I believe that this kind of experience is necessary in Tallahassee.
