What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The Founding Fathers of our great country knew that an unchecked government, or one sided leadership, would lead to inequality among citizens. The Constitution of the United States of America exists not to tell the people what they CAN do, but rather to tell the government what it CAN'T do. This is the simple part of human nature which values freedom, liberty, and being able to live a life free of oppression, without having to worry about your rights being infringed upon.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

1. Constitution 2. Supreme Court 3. Congress 4. Voters

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Women have the right to choose to have an abortion if they wish to have one during pregnancy. I do not know enough pertaining to this issue to weigh in more than that. I do not believe the government has a right to interfere with the rights of a sovereign citizen and their decision to have a child.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am not a highly religious person. I believe everyone can express their religion freely, and have the rights to worship whichever deity or follow any faith they so please. This is of course as long as their beliefs do not infringe on the rights of others. If a religion creates violence or destruction, that is not freedom of religion, that is misusing your rights. I believe that religion and government are separate entities and should remain that way, otherwise we would live in a Theocracy. I do not believe, however, that the government should be allowed to infringe on the religious freedoms of citizens of the United States, as stated in the first amendment of the constitution.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Moderate

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

My views politically are diverse and it seems uncommon nowadays, but I believe in the founding principles that can make the USA the greatest country in the world. I believe the rights of the people and the government are outlined in the constitution. Our Founding Fathers put the constitution in place because they knew that a government could turn dangerous and corrupt at any moment. This is what we are seeing right now, our rights are slowly being taken away by centralization and removal of the rights of states (Amendment 10). People are being forced into unconstitutional regulations on freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, and their RIGHT to keep and bear arms IS being infringed. I believe The USA needs to become a nation of freedom, liberty and justice for all once again.

Additional comment from candidate:

My greatest wish is for the United States of America to be the beacon of hope, liberty, freedom and justice as it once was. We must lead the world, not police them. We must realize that more government just means less freedom. The people of the country must rise up, even at the most local levels of government and reclaim the helm of their country. I wish to one day be the President of these United States. I am running for local office to make the voices of the people heard, to lead our state in the direction that works for us, and restore our community first and foremost. You can't make a change if you don't start somewhere, this is where the reclaiming of our freedom begins!
