What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

They wanted to make decisions regarding their own lives rather than having the government make those decisions for them. They wanted actions to result from their own choices not from the choices of others. They wanted to institute a republic not a democracy where majority whim would rule but to place limitations on the power of the majority. They wanted each individual to be free to live life as they chose as long as they did not forcibly interfere with the equal freedom of others to do the same

Additional comment from candidate:

With the formation of the United States these men talked about freedom. When these men talked about freedom they meant freedom from oppression, freedom from tyranny, freedom of speech and peaceable assembly. Freedom of press, freedom from confiscation of property, freedom from arbitrary search and seizure. That is the reason for government; to uphold these freedoms. That is my intent and purpose for running for Washington State Representative of the 42nd, Pos. 1.
