Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The decision to have or not have an abortion is one of the most difficult decisions a woman might face in her entire life. It is a decision that should be made after much prayer by the woman concerned and consultation with her partner and her doctor. The heinous procedure of partial-birth abortion should never be permitted, and no abortion procedure should ever be funded with any public money.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

James Madison answers this question far better than I could in Federalist number 10. In that article, Madison described the dangers of factions, and the inability of pure democracy to deal with them. Madison wrote: "From this view of the subject, it may be concluded that pure democracy...can admit of no cure for the mischief of faction....A republic...opens a different prospect and promises the cure for which we are seeking."

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Conservative Jew and a Jewish conservative. My spiritual beliefs and values were given to me and all Jews by G-d on Mt. Sinai in the time of Moses. They are embodied in the Torah (the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible) and the Talmud (the Oral Law accompanying and explaining the Torah). They can be most clearly seen in The Ten Commandments.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Conservative

Additional comment from candidate:

I am what was once known as a Goldwater conservative. As such, I would like so sum up my philosophy with a quote from Senator Goldwater: “This party, with its every action, every word, every breath, and every heartbeat has but a single resolve and that is freedom! Freedom - made orderly for this nation by our constitutional government. Freedom - under a government limited by the laws of nature and of nature’s G-d. Freedom - balanced so that order, lacking liberty, will not become the slavery of the prison cell; balanced, so that liberty, lacking order, will not become the license of the mob and the jungle.” That has been the basis of my political philosophy for over fifty years, and it will continue to be so.
