Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters (we the people), Congress, Supreme Court. God first since our inalienable rights from God top all else. Although Academia, Industry, Media, and Professional Sports influence today's governance, they were never intended to.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None - the life of both the mother and child should always be valued and preserved. Murder is always wrong. In the rare and extreme case that the mother's life is in danger, the burden falls on the mother's decision.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The principle of separation of powers and limited government was developed from their belief that man was evil (sin nature); therefore it was in the best interest of government to be divided and limited to prevent corruption. The founding fathers believed in separation and limited powers because they understood the nature of man – it was never about separation of church and state but separation of powers to prevent a dominant corrupt government in part or in whole.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

There is only one Triune God - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Who through His infinite foreknowledge, mercy, and grace created man in His image knowing man would rebel against Him. But from the very start, God had one complete and perfect plan satisfactory to His standards for the redemption for man through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. The redeemed life restores the spirit God gave Adam in the garden but then spiritual death from his sin in disobeying God. Jesus died for all that through our free will of choice, we can accept His gift to have full and abundant life now and eternal life after physical death. There is nothing I can do to earn this gift from anything I do and there is no other salvation but through Jesus Christ. It is an incredible free gift I can only accept for free and have life!

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I have no public (government) voting record. The only "proof" I can offer is my website howell4congress.com that spells out my core values, my definition of the root cause of our nation's problems (Not Obamacare, illegal immigrants, etc. - these are just symptoms. The problem is that we no longer govern under the American republic form of government which was designed only for a moral and religious people), evaluating the current state of our nation, and my stand on issues. I believe that the American federal government is constitutionally, morally, and financially bankrupt. Under the financial bankrupt section there is a proposed three year plan to go from a $500B deficit to a $300B surplus. There are some additional issues that I will continue to publish on my website.

Additional comment from candidate:

Question #13. I would have answered strongly agree if you had stated REPUBLIC. The founding fathers had strong words against democracies because they saw them fail all over the world at their current time and historically. A few quotes to support my position. Benjamin Rush - A simple democracy . . . is one of the greatest of evils. John Adams - Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. The constitutional republic that was set up had several Biblical principles never implemented before such as separation of powers, representative elections, electoral college Question #14. The neutral answer is because I think the question is worded in such a way that a key element is lacking. The founding fathers had a good grasp of the natural condition of man's sin nature and many communicated that the success of America was based on the people being a moral, virtuous, and/or religious people.
