Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only to save the life of the mother.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Man's fallen nature.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born again Christian. I became a Christian at Florida State University through the ministry of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship as a freshman. The testimony of a businessman named Jerry Lundquist began my faith journey. Then, I read about the resurrection of Jesus Christ and became convinced that he was actually, physically resurrected. When I believed that the event really happened, I became a real Christian. The Bible is the ultimate authority in my life. I believe church membership and participation is a necessary part of my walk with Christ. I am the spiritual head of my family and raise my children to follow Jesus and to do the work of his kingdom. My calling has been to teach politics to young people. A major motivation for me is to teach limited government and the separation of powers. I believe those features are a necessary consequence of our fallen nature. I believe the protection of life and religious liberty are the high callings.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I have written three books, contributed chapters to several others, and have written for magazines and web sites for almost my whole adult life. Everything I have written can be examined. I have also worked in conservative politics and have lobbied legislative bodies for life, for religious liberty, against gambling, and for school choice. At one point, I directly contradicted the testimony of Planned Parenthood's lawyers in Georgia on constitutional matters regarding legislation to limit abortion. I am reasonably well known as a conservative and Christian public intellectual. At all points, I have stood for Christian participation in the public square, for life, for liberty, and for limited government.

Additional comment from candidate:
I am the only candidate in this race running explicitly on life and religious liberty. No candidate in this race is as qualified to take on the secular progressives as I am. I am an academic who has chosen to fight for Christian and conservative values.
