The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.
Disagree
The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.
Strongly Agree
I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape; incest; in order to save the life of the mother. I note that the question asks when abortions are to be “allowed”. This is an important distinction. “Allowing” them under specific circumstances does not mean one supports the action. Rather, allowing abortions under specific circumstances leaves the decision to the individual rather than the State requiring compliance with its mandates under those circumstances.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Power is a corrupting influence, and left unchecked, people with political power will eventually become corrupt. The separation of powers into three branches of government are intended to act as a check upon the powers of each of them.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian and believe Jesus Christ is my Savior. I was raised to be mindful that organized religion is made up of human beings that, like myself, are also not perfect. I believe that each of us have a purpose, and that each of us should do our best to be the best we can be. Life is short, and in the end, it is good to know that you really tried to make a positive difference for those causes you believed in. Additionally, I believe children are our greatest resource. We need to love and nurture them as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
Registered Republican; Member of Save the Downs Committee, which seeks to limit the Federal Government's involvement and jurisdiction over a local land use matter; Member of the Proposition BB Committee, which sought to increase educational opportunities in the Fallbrook/Bonsall area through the creation of a new high school with no additional taxes to the area.

Additional comment from candidate:
I'm running for Congress because I'm very worried about our Country and feel an obligation to try to help while I can. Not only does it appear we have more corruption in government than ever, our Representatives also seem no longer to be "representative". And nothing seems to get done… To quote Carly Fiorina: "82% of the American people now believe that there is a professional political class more interested in preserving its own power and privilege than it is in serving the American people". It’s also inappropriate for our elected Representatives to adopt policy positions that are counter-productive and inherently immoral. For example, it was wrong for our Representative to advocate the use of nuclear weapons as a first strike option for the military. Such a policy is against International Law, would create political instability, and the natural consequences of such a policy include great suffering. We are responsible for who we elect and we really do have choices.
