What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founders knew that the type of people who seek public office will generally try to consolidate power and use it for their own benefit. The founders saw the tyranny that the kings of Europe unleashed on their subjects when there weren't strict limits on their power. They set up a system where the three branches of the federal government are pitted against each other and the various States also had power to fight back if there was overreach. We are far from this system and need to return.
Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
God Constitution Voters Congress and the Supreme Court are not sources of authority at all but manifestations of the authority of the voters.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Life should always be the guiding principle in all discussions of abortion. I do not believe in an exception for the cases of rape or incest. Although these are tragic and extremely difficult situations, the death of a child does not correct previous wrongs. Life should prevail. In a case where the life of the mother of the child is at serious risk due to a dangerous pregnancy, as an absolute last resort, the family in conversation with a physician in a hospital setting (not in an abortion clinic) should choose the best course of action to defend the lives at risk. This is the only exception, but the principle remains that life should be defended.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am an Orthodox Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, came into the world as a child and was crucified and buried. On the third day he rose again to fulfill the Scriptures and triumph over the power of death. Because of this saving action, all of humanity has been presented with salvation from their sins if they would take it. My Christian faith means that I believe in life from conception to natural death, traditional marriage as well as treating other kindly and respectfully even when I disagree with them. All people bear the image of God and deserve respect.

I have never held public office before. The last 4 years I have campaigned for limited government and against career politicians. My work in the Louisville Tea Party has supported candidates like Gov. Matt Bevin, Sen. Rand Paul, Cong. Thomass Massie and Rep. Phil Moffett. In the local Republican party I was the lone dissenting vote when they voted to honor the judge who overturned the Kentucky Constitution on the issue of marriage. I have routinely been a lone voice fighting against the established powers in the Republican party.

I am an accountant, not an attorney or a career politician. We have a public pension crisis. Kentucky owes about $41 billion to our retired teaches, firefighters, policemen and other public servants. Every year we wait, we dig a bigger hole. We need to fund the pension system through across the board cuts and by reforming the system so going forward we can't get back in this position again. We need to move to a 401(k) style system for all new employees and end legislator pensions entirely. We need to repeal Obamacare, end Kynect and repeal the unaffordable Medicaid expansion. I oppose Common Core education standards and all other overreaches of federal power.
