The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Neutral

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

It is the law of the land

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

To check the over use of power by anyone branch

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My faith is in one supreme God, however i believe in separation of government and religion. Academia is just as important. I am very pragmatic (Very Conservative on some issues and Very Liberal on others) One must do what is best for the situation and the location being served

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Somewhat Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I will not be so aligned with a political position that I put it ahead of what is good for the third district. I will keep both feet on the ground and assess ideas as to their benefit to the third district. I call this Common Sense! I am pragmatic on all issues until I know I have enough information to make the decision.

Additional comment from candidate:

News SUNDAY, MARCH 13, 2016 8:09 PM I will live like you do. Many members of congress live beyond the means of the people who sent them to Washington. I will live on the same income as the average school teacher ($48,000). All excess salary will be gifted to community food banks to help the needy.
