I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. My faith is the guiding factor in my life. I became a conservative Republican in my teens, when I borrowed a well-worn copy of Barry Goldwater’s “Conscience Of A Conservative” and I realized that I was essentially reading my worldview from the page. In every decision I make as Lieutenant Governor, my decisions are based on my belief system. What we do in government must be in the best interest of the state of Texas and her citizens (the majority of whom are conservative Republicans).
