OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

If required to save the mother's life.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We need to end corporate welfare -- Pennsylvania spends hundreds of millions of dollars in corporate welfare. I think this spending would be a good place to start.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Neutral

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The term "separation of church and state" has been taken wildly out of context, but it ultimately means that Congress is not permitted to make a law creating a national religion or prohibiting the free exercise of faith. This provision of the First Amendment was meant to add to religious liberty and freedom of conscience, not take away from it. Essentially, religious freedoms are to be 100% safeguarded and protected.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to reform our healthcare system so that it is more transparent -- I believe in price transparency so consumers have more visibility on what they are paying for. I also support Health Savings Accounts, which give families more control and visibility on their healthcare spending. We also need to ensure that healthcare providers can innovate to drive down costs. Finally, we need to enact reforms so that providers can bring services to rural areas, expanding access for all.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We should welcome immigrants who come to our country legally and through the proper channels.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God -- he is loving, just and merciful. I believe in the Bible as the infallible word of God. I believe Jesus is the son of God and the savior of mankind. The values I strive to uphold are fairly simple and derived from scripture -- 1) love God, 2) love my neighbor, 3) do justly, 4) love mercy, 5) walk humbly with my God.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I've been a champion for conservative values since beginning my term. I sponsored and rallied 14 co-sponsors for my term limits bill. I sponsored and passed a $500 million debt reduction bill. I co-sponsored the Taxpayer Protection Act. I co-sponsored the Down Syndrome Protection Bill to protect the unborn, which passed the House and was vetoed by the governor. I was blessed to earn the "Award for Conservative Achievement" by the American Conservative Union as well as a 100% voting record from Americans for Prosperity.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I've almost completed a term in office, during which I was able to successfully get four bills passed and co-sponsor a host of additional bills that were passed. During this term, my team and I were also able to resolve more than 5,700 constituent issues and requests. I also continue to be engaged in my community as a small business owner and job creator, which I believe makes me a better legislator. As a family man raising three young boys, I can appreciate the impact that every state law has on families. From an educational standpoint, I'm blessed to hold two master's degrees -- one in business and one in legislative affairs. Finally, my military background has taught me plenty about love of country, courage under pressure, and finding solutions in the face of very tough odds.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I look forward to continuing to fight for families across the 105th District and PA!

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The rights of law-abiding citizens to own and carry firearms should never be restricted in any way, or even questioned. Violent offenders should not have firearms.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Term Limits & Government Reforms 2) Taxpayer Protections & Spending Reduction 3) School Choice Legislation
