Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
Strongly Agree
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.
Strongly Disagree
The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.
Strongly Agree
I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.
Strongly Agree

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
God, Constitution
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
NEVER, unless it would somehow prevent the death of the mother.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
To prevent concentration of powers and to prevent any one branch from becoming too powerful. That is why there are checks and balances in the Constitution.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a God fearing, born again Christian. I believe that public servants should put God above all else. I believe that the US was founded by Christians with the belief that we are one nation under God. I do believe that our religious liberties are under attack from liberals in Washington and the left wing media trying to be "politically correct." I am a leader who will fight to restore our religious liberties, put prayer back into public education and government offices, and vote to protect and preserve Life and end federal funding of abortions.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I have a public record which shows that I am a social conservative. I co-sponsored the KY Legislation which amended the KY Constitution to define marriage as only between one man and one woman, and I always voted pro-Life 100% of the time as a six term KY State Legislator. As Commissioner of Agriculture, I significantly downsized my number of employees and always returned money back to the taxpayers. I remain the only statewide officeholder in the history of KY to return an earmark back to the taxpayers. That earmark totaled $1,650,000! I have been very vocal in my support of building a wall on the southern border, opposing any illegal amnesty, and locating every illegal in the US and quickly returning them to wherever they came from. I believe that the free market is the best environment for industry to grow, and that the government needs to get out of the way of industry to let the free market prosper. We need to significantly reduce the regulatory burden on our US businesses.

Additional comment from candidate:
I am the only candidate in this race who has had any private sector experience and success. I have built one of the largest farming operations in south central KY. I have also started other businesses and served as a director of one of KY's largest community banks. I have created jobs and battled excessive government regulations in my own business interests. I also have experience and success in the public sector. I was a State Representative who was active, energetic and accessible to my constituents. As Commissioner of Agriculture, I downsized my government agency and returned millions of dollars back to the taxpayers. I fought the EPA and the Obama Administration and won. I will take my business experience, my credibility in agriculture, and my success in fighting government bureaucracy to Washington and make a difference on day one. I will be a new conservative voice who will stand up to the special interests and answer only to the hard working voters of the 1st District.
