What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

My values have always been rooted in hard work and service to others. I have taken those values as cornerstones of my faith, my family, and my service - celebrating more than 25 years of ministry as both a Director of Youth Ministry and as an educator. I have taken those values to the classroom as a teacher, as a trustee of the Seymour Community School Board, and as a legislative liaison with the Indiana School Board Association. I know my leadership abilities are able to move our communities forward. Where I have found limitations is because of what is happening outside our local level. To make a positive impact, a new voice needs to be represented at the state level.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Public service has been a part of my nature. It's not a career nor is it an opportunity to "climb the ladder of success." It is the integral calling of what good citizenship is all about. Our society is shaped and improved by citizens coming together with integrity, hard work, and putting others first. I believe through this, communities are strengthened. I am running for State Representative because I know through my values and leadership skills, I can work together with others on a different level to bring further strength to our local communities. I have a strong devotion to this area of southern Indiana and I want to be a voice for what the people of our great communities need.
