Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life or Health of Mother, Rape, & Incest

To prevent the abuse of power

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Somewhat Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Migration: Though I believe in a strong immigration policy, I do not believe in splitting up families that are already here as that would damage them and society as a whole. Religion: Religion needs more protection as religious rights have been undermined by the Obama Administration. The shrinking middle class needs protection. Without a livable wage, too many parents have to have 2 jobs each to make ends meet. You can not have both parents working 2 jobs and be good parents.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Education especially for the very young who may be impoverished. There needs to be an avenue for adults who want an education to better their family situation to financially survive while getting that education. When people are educated and find a better job then they contribute more to the community.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

That is can be a very complex issue that needs to be studied in depth. I will not try to make a few trite comments as an answer on this question.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Long term planning of infrastructure needs including better roads and bridges, better education through higher learning including incentives for adults to pursue higher degrees, adequate water supplies (quality & quantity)for future decades, and implementing policies that encourage people to contribute more to their communities.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I believe that education can help qualify you an occupation or position, but, I do not believe that education or a specific degree alone qualities you for legislative office. I think ones character, ones integrity, and ones willingness to look at both sides of an issue is more of a qualifier. Also, a person's determination to spend what time is needed to do the home work necessary to reach an educated position on the subject is necessary. I always try to reach an educated position by doing my home work and by looking at both sides of an issue to reach conclusion.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

To run for District 59 verses running for my current office as county assessor again, I had several things to consider. As a county assessor candidate, I probably would not have had any opposition which means not spending a lot of time and money campaigning. Even if elected as District 59 Representative, it will be a cut in pay for me and if I do not win, it will obviously be a complete cut in pay. There are 6 of us on the republican primary ballot, so why am I running? It is because I believe that legislation will help determine the opportunities that Indiana residents and our grand children will have to live a more productive and happy life. I want that help make that difference. Lew Wilson
