What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
As absolute power, corrupts absolutely, our Constitution was designed to maintain a balance that prevents any one branch to gain too much control. Sin is in the nature of mankind that, as we were founded by Christians, the America's Founders carefully defined and separated the Constitution to limit powers.
Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
God- our rights come from God, our creator. Without Him, the other are irrelevant.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Children are God's creations. I do not support tax payer dollars being utilized to abort a child.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised Southern Baptist in a family church that only had around 90 members- most of us were cousins. I have been to numerous churches since then because of the frequent moves that go along with being an active duty Marine. I believe that Jesus was sent to die on the cross for our sins. I believe that Christ arose from the grave 3 days later and walked the earth again prior to joining his father in Heaven. Christ is my Lord and Savior. We have a personal relationship.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative

Additional comment from candidate:
My name is Chad Shannon and I have been married to my wife, Robin, for almost 11 years. We have two daughters Tenley (9) and Gabby (4). While serving 10 years in the Marines, we missed valuable time together that was spent serving our country. America is a country that I would give my life for to defend. That is why my wife supported me when I felt the call to fight for America once again. If you elect me, you will be electing a true patriot who, although you may not be as conservative as me, will respect your stance and will always listen. In combat, we fought for liberals and conservatives- we fought for all Americans. Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss your goals for our region. Our economy is our first priority to securing our future!
