Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

none

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

The same way we eradicated the Nazi's in WW2. There is no difference in the two. Most people do not think they are the same. Either because they do want to believe or they just do not know; that Islam is a political ideology. However it is and there fore needs to be dealt with in the same manner.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

They did this for a few reasons. However due to limited space here, I will only write about the biggest one. It was to give checks and balances for each branch of the government. And to see to it they did not infringe on the rights of the people. It is to bad most of the people elected today, have made being elected a career, not a Civic Duty.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a constitutional conservative, pro-life, pro-gun, Roman Catholic Christian. This servey tells most of the story. These are core values to me not just something to say to get elected.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Because I have said the same things basically the same way for forever. I do not know how it is publicly validated, because I did not know what has or has not been made public by others (example: the press, other organizations). I was endorsed by Ohio Right to Life in the past, also Buckeye Fire Arms, I believe I had an endorsement from Gun Owners of America. Also Citizens for Community Values.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would first have see, what this kind of healthcare plan would be. There would be many different ways it can be promoted. I could once elected send out an informational flyer to all residents of the district I would be representing. Other than that, if insurance companies are involved they would send something out. I am sure that if it is good enough the press would help. By making it a news report.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Get itself out of the way. Let the free markets work. Some regulation is good. Except when it does more harm than good. Which in a lot of areas this is the case. The government should be picking winners and losers. In the 80's Reagan started a number of things that got the economy going. It carried through to the Bush Presidency. When he was running for a second term everyone was concerned about Clinton messing it all up. As a result of what was done earlier it was going to carry on regardless of who got elected (in my opinion). Which as we found out to be true.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

We should have a flat tax. This would truly be fair and even; for everyone to "pay their fair share". Including the rich and the poor. 10% tax, let's say as an example, is 10%. So if a "poor" person only makes $100.00 their tax is $10.00, If a "rich" person makes $100,000,000.00, their tax is $10,000,000.00. Each have paid their "fair share"., based on their income. And since so many people think that the "rich" should pay more. Well they have. In this I believe there should not be any deductions or tax credits for anyone.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Again get the government out of the way. End the regulations and restrictions that cause a lot of unnecessary burdens on the business owners. That ultimately kill jobs. Also, again the government needs to quit picking winners and losers. Making it nearly impossible for someone to start a business, only kills jobs. Have a corporate tax code that rewards small business instead of harm it. I have a plan that my team and I have been working on that will be released soon that addresses all of this. It will come out on the campaign website; PatrickJQuinn.net and the campaign facebook page Patrick J Quinn for 7th District US Representative.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

This is not an easy fix, no matter what is done. There are a few things that dictate why; first the irresponsibility of previous law makers. When in the 70's I believe they took the money meant for SS and moved it in to the general fund. And then not ever putting it back has caused SS to be an unfunded. Second, we are 20+ trillion dollars in debt. So literally we are completely out of money. So saying with certainty that one can "guarantee" money to be there in the future is foolish. As well as they are lying. There are a few things that can help; still no "guarantee". One put the money that does come in from now on in it's own account never to be used for anything else. Second, take people that really have no business getting SS and have not really paid or have not paid much in; off the rolls. It was meant to be a supplement when one retires. Not a total source of income at 30 something or younger. I am willing to take on the truly hard and unpopular job of working to fix it.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

57 years of life would be my education. My experience would be, being self-employed most of my life. I must say when this and other questions like are asked; they are really wanting to know what have I been elected to before. This in and of it self promotes and enables the bad behavior of being a Career Politician. Being elected is a CIVIC DUTY, not a career.
