OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Strongly Agree

Current regulations on domestic oil exploration and drilling are more restrictive than are necessary.

Strongly Agree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

More restrictive gun control laws are needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self-interest into the most productive economic system there is.

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion is a personal decision between the woman, her family and others should she decide to include them.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Mankind's weakness is characterized by, "Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely." Mankind received the Natural Laws from God and was then responsible to govern themselves IAW God's laws. Mankind however is corruptable and should never be placed in a position of self governing with no accountability. In our case of the United States, the 3 branches of government separate powers so no one of the 3 branches has control without accountability from the remaining 2 branches.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was born and raised Christian and believe in the Trinity; God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. As my Lord and Savior, Jesus guides my life, my beliefs and its by his example that are the basis of my personal values. Family is first and foremost in my daily life. With the support of my wife, as we are empty nesters, we plan our work choices, play time, financial planning, family support and practice our faith together mostly and at times personally separately.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Moderate

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I served a career in the military which accounted for service with all races of service members and their faiths. I taught Equal Opportunity and Anti-Sexual Harassment classes for the U.S. Navy. In my civilian capacity after retiring, I taught classes to real estate sales agents on numerous different subject matters to men and women and thousands of agents of differing ethnic backgrounds. I served on the Anne Arundel County Assoc of Realtors Board for Legislative Review for 7 years and I completed a number of classes on equal housing opportunity and discriminatory practices occurring in the real estate industry.

Additional comment from candidate:

I possess a special set of unique skills that I acquired through my military work which included working on high level National Security tasking resulting in work with third world countries, immigration actions, under cover work focused against drug trafficking and managing a $50 million dollar procurement program involving highly classified equipment but that gave me a tremendous experience and insight into government contracting. I have lectured at several colleges. I have served as a Chief Technology Officer working with budgets, program development and oversight and I taught Nationally lecturing on technology subjects in front of thousands of attendees at Civic Centers and large auditoriums across the country. I have built 3 highly successful businesses and own 2 of them today serving as the Operating Principle responsible for oversight and direction. I monitor their budgets, marketing, employee and training. I honorably served as a U.S. Marine and as a Cryptologic Naval Officer.
