What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Mankind's nature is "fallen" from what it was meant to be; we are corrupt which results in sin which leads to abuse of power. and the necessity to limit and separate powers in government.
Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
I do not understand this question as to what is meant by "authority". Is it where it comes from or how it controls us?. Regardless, God is above all and the Constitution is the People's compact with their government.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I do not recognize exceptions (note, attempts to save the life of the mother which unintentionally result in harm to the baby are permissible as this does not constitute abortion).
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. I believe that since the original fall of humankind, humans are born estranged from God due to sin. I believe that God repeatedly promised redemption for sin in the Old Testament of the Bible. I believe these promises were fulfilled in the life and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ as the substitute for human (and my) sin as set forth in the New Testament of the Bible. I therefore endeavor to live a life pleasing to God according to the commands of Jesus Christ.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I am a consistent defender of liberty and free markets and have voted both in favor and against bills based on these principles on hundreds of occasions.. I have sponsored pro-life legislation in the past and voted on numerous bills regarding the sanctity of life. I have voted in favor of traditional marriage.
