What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Mankind has great potential for tremendous innovation for the betterment of society but also great potential for tremendous suffering, calamity and even total destruction of a Nation (and other nations). Promoting the former through freedom, education, values and opportunity while limiting or diffusing the latter is a crucial role of all levels of government. Understanding these concepts, the Framers created a US Constitution that ultimately laid the foundation for our freedom and prosperity

On the Council, I voted against (1) multiple tax increases necessary to finance a stadium whose primary user is an NFL team, (2) two "Human Rights Ordinances", (3) sale of public open space to a corporate headquarters, and (4) an ordinance to virtually eliminate all target shooting by responsible gun owners. In the House, I authored, co-authored, sponsored or co-sponsored bills that (1) voided city ordinances that restrict the right to carry in parks among other public spaces, (2) removed the ability of local government to dictate to private business the wage & benefits of their employees, (3) gave workers the right to chose whether to belong to a labor union, (4) protected natural marriage, (5) protected religious freedom, and (6) increased school choice for parents thereby increasing competition and performance for many public school districts.

Additional comment from candidate:
It is a privilege to help my neighbors in District 90. I am inspired by my father to run my small real estate company. And I am inspired by my late mother to serve as a State Representative. To balance these two challenging jobs, I feel both a sense of duty and a calling. Please let me know how I may better serve you.
