Strongly Agree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life of mother, otherwise abortion should never be legal.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our rights come from God and not man. To protect our liberty.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe Jesus really lived, that he really died for our sins and he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. I believe that my rights and liberties are given to me from my creator and cannot be taken from me by man.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My public voting record, as a state representative and as a county councilman on protecting life, the 2nd Amendment, balancing budgets, promoting school choice, among many other subjects validates my answer to question 28.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Let the free market work and keep government out of the way.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Free market, allow insurance to be purchased across state lines, limit some of the ridiculous monetary awards for medical malpractice, allow families and businesses to purchase insurance together without government interference.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Reduce regulations, avoid them in the first place.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a B.S. in Political Science from Ball State University with a minor in History. I was a county councilman for 10 years. A county council has the responsibility to keep spending in check and balance budgets. My experience as a state representative has taught me how to successfully help, aid, and assist my constituents when and if they encounter difficulties with state agencies. I have learned how to move worthy legislation through the legislative process.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have been the owner and president of a private business for 16 years. I have been employed at this same company for 25 years, (longer if you count the years I grew up there.) I have had to write payroll checks, be proficient in human resources, navigate government regulations, pay taxes, budget operational and capital funds, hire people, evaluate their skills and promote them or not, and provide top quality customer service. I believe the 2nd Amendment empowers citizens to defend themselves, their families and the rest of the Indiana and United States Constitutions. I have been and will continue to be a staunch supporter. For instance, over the first 4 years I served on Public Policy we only passed 3 pieces of pro-firearms legislation. Since becoming the chairman, two years ago, I have heard eight pieces of pro-firearm legislation, passing 7. During the same time I carried two other important pro-2nd Amendment bills outside the Public Policy Committee.
