Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am 100% Pro-Life. Other than life of the mother, abortion should never be legal.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Radical Islamic terrorism is dedicated to destroying our way of life and must be fought at every turn. However, the United States can’t be engaging in wars across the globe. We must rebuild our military and support allies who share our beliefs and their efforts to fight terrorism around the globe. Standing with Israel is an example of where our government must do all our power to support a freedom loving ally who share our values.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our founders understood that our right come from our creator and not from governments. They knew we must have a system that protects liberty and clearly defines the powers of the government. I will work to reign in the power of the federal government and return power to the citizens of this great nation, as out founders intended.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God and the salvation of humanity through His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. The power of prayer is beyond reproach.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Obamacare must be repealed and replaced. I am the only candidate in this race who has fundamental understanding of how this law impacts Hoosiers. As owner of a health care company I have seen the terrible consequences of this law. In Washington I will be a able to offer real solutions on how we replace Obamacare with a free market driven system that finally improves quality and drives down price.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Jobs are created in the private sector and not by the government. The government should work to allow the free market to take hold by cutting red tape and reducing burdensome regulations. A tax code that allows for job growth and small business success is key. Government must also eliminate crony capitalism by ending the process of high paid lobbyists working to get special deals for specific companies and industries.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

We need to continue to improve the tax code to make it more simple and fair for the average American. The recent tax bill was a big win for the economy and I will work to continue these type of tax reforms that grow jobs and wages.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Jobs are continuing to grow under President Trump’s leadership because the key to keeping unemployment down is to get the government out of the way and let job creators work in the market place. The free market will drive job growth of we keep taxes low and eliminate red tape.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security benefits must be protected for future generation. If we allow the career politicians in Washington continue down this path of reckless spending and out of control debt then social security will be in danger. We must balance our budget, grow the economy, and prioritize funding this program at the federal level.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am running for congress because I believe we all have to step up and take responsibility for where our country goes. President Trump is doing a great job in Washington to drain the swamp and I am inspired to get out there to help him pass his agenda, and make America great again. I am only candidate in this race that grew up here, raised my family here, built my business here, farmed ground here, and will still call west central Indiana my home after elected to congress. People deserve a representative in congress who will go to Washington to fight for their values.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. I am a decorated Vietnam Veteran, having served as a 1st Lt. in the United States Army, and was awarded a Bronze Star with a V device and two Purple Hearts with an Oak Leaf Cluster. I own and operate Baird Family Farms and Indiana Home Care Plus, a business with locations throughout West Central Indiana. I currently serve as a State Representative from House District 44 and previously served as a Putnam County Commissioner. I will stand with the President and fight to end the political class’ grip on power in Washington. I want every American to have the opportunity to enjoy success, prosperity, and freedom.
