Only to save the life of the mother.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and a pro-life Republican. I proudly helped pass legislation to protect pastors who refuse to perform same-sex marriages. I voted to defund planned parenthood. And I have been endorsed by Texas Alliance for Life and Life PAC, and also had a 100% voting record with Texas Right to Life last session.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

Co-authored legislation to put more troopers on the border, and gave an additional $800 million in new border security funding. Co-authored legislation to increase the homestead exemption by $10 thousand, resulting in a $1.2 billion tax cut. Voted for a 25% reduction in the business margins tax, resulting in a $2.6 billion tax cut. Supported a state budget that stays beneath the constitutional spending cap, and leaves $11 billion in the state Rainy Day Fund. Helped to pass legislation that protects pastors who refuse to perform same sex marriages. Supported legislation to defund planned parenthood. 100% voting record with Texas Right to life last session. Endorsed by Texas Alliance for Life and LIFE PAC. In the 82nd Legislature I co-authored HB 12 which would have prohibited sanctuary city policies in Texas.
