Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that God - God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit - created the universe and mankind has a special place in it. Man is created in His image to have a love relationship with Him. However the first 2 people created broke the one law God gave them, severing their relationship with Him and resulting in sin/moral failure becoming part of the nature of every human being (Romans 3:23). Because God is infinite and perfect, He will not have a relationship with humans who have violated His character/His perfect law. Humans cannot pay the infinite price we owe God, so He came to earth as a human in the form of Jesus and lived the perfect life we owe God then was killed for the sins of all mankind. I believe this, and personally asked God that the price Jesus paid be applied to me. Because God accepted Jesus' payment for sin and since I asked Him to apply it to me, I have been given eternal life - not by works, so that I cannot boast, but by grace alone through faith.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative

Additional comment from candidate:
When my husband and I began praying about whether or not I would throw my hat into the political ring for the primary for State Representative in 2016, the very next day Franklin Graham wrote an article about the need for Godly men and women to get active in the political arena, vote and to run for office. We continued to pray and God continued to provide affirmation. I do not assume that means God intends for me to win - that's in His hands - but I do believe He wants me to run and to give voters a non-Establishment option. I pray for the direction of our country and, God willing, hope to be part of directing us back to Him, protecting the rights of Christians, and being a light for Him on a very public stage. It's scary, but someone has to do it.
