What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our Founders had seen the tyranny of much of Europe and knew that system of government would not allow the freedoms and future potential they had come to America for in the first place. Through their creation of Democracy and our rule of law, it not only set limitations on power, but set in place the ability to weather any individuals in power who tried to work against those defined principles. The genius of the Founders and their vision has become even greater as history has progressed.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe that all life is sacred and that life begins at conception. No one will argue that there are not some very terrible and unfortunate events that lead to an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy, but if we view that life as its own separate entity that is entitled to the same rights allotted to all human beings, than each child is deserving of an opportunity at life.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian, and the way I will serve those that elect me through that prism. Our duty as representatives is to make a positive impact on our communities and work to make the world a better place than we found it. Leaders cannot say they have strong faith and values and then support policies that run counter to them. My record of service to the special needs community throughout Northeast Ohio speaks to the type of leadership I will provide for all people in elected office.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I have not held public office, but after watching the trajectory of our region and our nation, I could no longer stay silent. While I do not yet have a track record as an elected official, my stance on both economic and human issues have been made clear on my campaign website and social media. Conservative principles have been successful throughout our history and we must return to those principles if we truly want to turn things around.

Additional comment from candidate:
This election for State Senate brings the voters a stark contrast between a 30-year politician with no real track record of action or consistent attendance against someone new to the political arena who has the passion, energy and vision to serve the 28th district and our state. I read a quote recently - "Nothing changes if nothing changes" - and I can tell you that it's time to make that change and choose a candidate who will put service over self-interest. If we continue to elect the same politicians, nothing will ever improve. I am committed to being a true representative of the people in Columbus and humbly ask for that opportunity. We all deserve better, and 2016 is a chance to make that a reality for us and for generations to come.
