OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should only be allowed when it is the only way to save the the mother's life.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security benefits must be considered entitlements for Americans who have saved in their most productive years to be able to enjoy in their golden years. Social Security is not a negotiable fund to be used by politicians for their pet projects. I would vote to secure such benefits and oppose any legislation that would threaten its use for any other purpose other than to supply the promised security that so many Americans depend on.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would seek to reduce, if not completely eliminate, the role of the Department of Education, returning the responsibility of education to the states and local school boards.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

As someone who knows a great deal about borrowing for education, I have a stake in this issue. For many years the taxpayer has footed the bill for student loans when the student is willing to return to under-served areas to use their newly acquired skills. This program has been around for as long as I have been involved in higher education and has seen many success stories for under-served regions. Debt cancellation of balances remaining after 20 years of faithful repayment is also reasonable

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state was never meant to keep the church from influencing policy. It was meant to keep the state from interfering in church policy. The church's silence on many political issues has lead to a state in our country in which we are farther from Godly principles as a nation than closer. We must abandon this way of thinking, embolden the clergy to speak without fear of governmental rebuke, and elect God fearing men and women to reset our national mentality to one of God, Family and the value of hard Work.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I recognize the importance of emphasizing lifestyle modifications which, if adopted, lead to healthy states, largely obviating the need for medical intervention. I would advocate nutrition and lifestyles changes, especially in children. For patients who suffer ailments not attributable to modifiable life-style choices, crafting policies which encourage free market competition among health insurances would help assure health insurance c

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

1. Call it "Radical Islamic Terrorism," disregarding whoever may be offended by this label 2. Take a disproportionately strong, decisive approach to clear and present threats to American interests, such approach serving to frustrate plots and discourage others from plotting against us. 3. Commit to a long-term diplomatic strategy in which a new generation of Arab children are taught peace and love instead of hate and vengeance. This is a long term project that has nothing to do with military involvement, but rather encouraging a political and spiritual awakening in Muslim countries.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Those persons who wish to better their lives, seek to assimilate to American culture, have been properly vetted to assure they pose no threat, and those who are willing to come here legally should be allowed to come to America.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Christian since age 12, I have learned to walk with God, leaning on Him for every major decision in my life. I believe that because I was born in sin, my soul was destined to live eternally condemned, but since my rebirth at age 12, my soul's destiny has been rerouted to eternal joy with Him who saved me. This is what it means to be forgiven. The only way I know how to show my gratitude for God's forgiveness, is to use my skills and talents to honor Him. Whether I someday help shape policy, or if I simply inculcate in my children a Biblical world-view, I hope to shape my environment in a God-honoring way.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Please see my social media posts and policy positions in my congressional runs in the 2016 and 2018 cycles.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Some voters are, like me, policy driven. They would vote for even a rude and brash candidate if that candidate promised to push their agenda. Other voters could not care at all about policy, but rather look to elect a nice person with whom they can seen themselves relating with. I seek to appeal to both kinds of voters by promoting conservative policies in a conservative region of Texas. For the policy-driven voter in the 34th Congressional District, I believe I check all their boxes. I am Pro-God, Pro-Life, Pro-2nd Amendment.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No more than already exist. (No guns for felons, minors, etc.)

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Single Issue Legislation Constitutional Amendement Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment Amendment to Define Marriage as between one man and one woman

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a form of extremism. All extremism is negative. The reason is that as a person approaches extremes, he/she loses sight of the wonderful blessing of diversity. When extremism is weaponized, any extremism can be a threat to domestic security. Christianity is true and Godly. The Crusades destroyed lives and tarnished Christendom. Islam seeks justification by works. Islamic Jihad seeks to honor Allah in a twisted mentality that promotes annihilation of innocent lives. Racism seeks improperly to promote the like-kind. Racism can boil over to unfair advantage for one group over another in jobs, education, opportunities, leading to suppression of an entire group of people. When this suppression is opposed, violence will erupt, threatening domestic security.
